Airline Industry to Hugely Reduce Carbon Emissions in Europe

Aviation groups in Europe have revealed a new strategy to assist in reducing their global-warming emissions of carbon dioxide. By 2013 approximately 100 airports in Europe will allow aircraft to descend all the way from cruising altitude to the runway in one smooth glide. It is estimated that this will save up to 450kg of CO2 per landing.
