I was listening to the news yesterday and something was mentioned that caught my attention.  It was pointed out that there was a positive aspect arising from this economic downturn and I couldn’t agree more.    Sometimes we continue to work in a field that is of no interest to us or keep our heads down and don’t take that “leap of faith” to develop a new idea or move to a new place because we are too comfortable. Sometimes it takes us losing our job, which essentially pushes us off the ledge instead of leaping ourselves to pursue the career of our dreams or take on a new adventure.

I have had a lot of fun over the last few months with Facebook and Twitter when I have met up with Britney. Simply writing – “Michael is having lunch with Britney” has caused a huge stir, with friends asking if it was Britney Spears? I have been as tongue in cheek as possible when answering and have usually just said that “Britney has made me lose control” – in reference to a song by Britney Spears. The reality is that I received an email from a very special young lady in September 2008. She happened to be Canadian and wanted to pre-empt her move to Australia and wanted to work with Marquette Turner Luxury Homes – she had admired our work from afar and I was touched by her email.
