Our luxury partner, the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora was named the world’s best spa by leading luxury travel network Virtuoso and its award-winning magazine Virtuoso Life in the 2009 Best of the Best awards. The awards were announced August 19, 2009, at Virtuoso’s annual Travel Mart conference in Las Vegas, the largest luxury travel event.
“We are honoured to be recognised by Virtuoso, as they are an authority in luxury travel,” says Sebastien Carre, general manager of Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora. “This accolade for our spa, as determined by the travel advisors and editors, is a testament to the warm, friendly and skilled service of our Resort staff.”
The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora is situated on the summit of the Resort’s motu, where the forces of energy and relaxation meet in harmony and where the energy of the Pacific Ocean meets the tranquillity of the turquoise lagoon. Treatments blend the traditions of Polynesia with modern science to maximise therapeutic value and relaxation. Local ingredients such as the prized monoi, native vanilla, kahaia flower and black pearl powder are used in various treatments, bringing a sense of place into the spa experience.
Virtuoso Life editors, in collaboration with Virtuoso’s member travel advisors, selected nominees representing the pinnacle of service and design in the industry. The 10 award categories range from “architecture and design” to “most innovative guest experience.” Winners are recognised as the very best in their category, demonstrating innovation, dedication, social conscience and even courage. Best of the Best award winners will be featured in the September/October 2009 issue of Virtuoso Life.
