Swimming on Top of the World in Singapore

We recently featured an article on the amazing Marina Bay Sands hotel and casino complex in Singapore that opened in May at a cost of $5.5 billion USD.

In this article we’re presenting one of the amazing features – the swimming pool – that like most things at the Marina Bay Sands, is anything but normal.

The pool forms part of the “SkyPark” platform that rests across the three towers of the complex and is longer than the Eiffel Tower (obviously, on it’s side).

At three times the length of an Olympic pool and 55 story’s/650 feet high, it is easily the largest outdoor pool in the world at that height.

And whilst being an “infinity pool”, whereby the water ends at the horizon, in reality the water spills over the edge into a catchment below, and is then pumped back into the pool.

It certainly takes having a quick dip to a whole new level!
