RECIPE: Apple Delicious – An Easy Apple Crumble

Ingredients

4 Cooking Apples

½ Tspn Cinnamon

¾ Cup Sugar

2 Tblsp Self Raising Flour

Pinch Salt

2 Tblsp Butter

2 Cups Cold Water

Method

Grease a large ovenproof dish

Peel, core and cut the apples into halves.

Place them into the bottom of the baking dish, cup sides up

Sprinkle cinnamon over the apples

Mix together the sugar, flour and salt and rub in the butter.

Add in the water, a little at a time and mix together

Pour over the apples

Bake in a moderate over for 45 minutes.

    I used this recipe with a class of grade 2 children. The two cups of water was too much and made a soup/broth of the mixture, You need just a half cup of milk and nothing more
