Real Estate: Cool and Contemporary Tree Houses

by Marquette Turner Luxury Homes

in Architecture, Design & Trends, Features

Treehouses are no longer simply the real estate of father’s toiling to make their children somewhere to play.

No longer “a good idea at the time” we have frequently featured some stunning treehouses that you can live in and marvel at. And now here’s some more that Trendir have found for us.

Portland, Oregon

This awesome design was seven years in the making, from the drawing board to its completion in 2004 and comes from mind of architect Robert Harvey Oshatz, whom states “One has to actually stroll through the house to capture its complexities and its connection to the exterior with the use of a natural wood ceiling floating on curving laminated wood beams which pass through a generous glass wall which wraps around the main living room.”

Munster, Germany

Known as the Froschkonig Treehouse, this home is build on huge stilts and was created by treehouse architects Baumraum.

A modern, curved shape home, there is a huge window on either end to allow for bright interiors and a clear connection to outside.
