Luxury Hotels: Bushman’s Kloof Reserve & Retreat in South Africa Named Number 1

by Marquette Turner Luxury Homes

in Features, Luxury is...

Bushman’s Kloof Wilderness Reserve & Retreat has been named by readers of the distinguished Travel + Leisure magazine as the Number 1 Hotel in the World for 2009. It’s not hard to see why.

This Relais & Chateaux lodge is set amongst a breathtaking landscape.

Located in the Cederberg Mountains, 270 kilometres from Cape Town in South Africa, this private wilderness is the ultimate experience.

With a malaria and predator free sanctuary for endangered species of wildlife and flora, with over 130 Bushman rock art sites, the Koro Lodge is a fully catered for villa of African and European fusion. It can accommodate up to 32 guests in the restful backdrop of the reserve, with a luxurious spa and dining experiences that are hard to beat.

This is certainly one of the most outstanding backdrops for any hotel or real estate I've ever seen. It's certainly easy to see why it's Travel + Leisure's top hotel in the world. Definitely a a destination I'll be adding to my list of places to visit.
