Good news from the KIVA Organisation, who have revealed that Alivera Mukamukiza – a recipient of MarquetteTurner microfinance loans- has reached her target loan of $1,025 USD to help expand her business, a general store that sells a large variety of food and other items.
Living in Kigali, Rwanda Alivera will use her loan to purchase additional products to sell such as water, baby food, juice, and coffee. She hopes to be able to build her own house with the profit from her loan.
So far, she has repaid 50% of borrowings.
Alivera is working with Vision Finance Company (VFC) which was stablished in 1999 and is an affiliate of World Vision International. Since its founding, VFC has been committed to alleviating poverty in Rwanda by ensuring that poor people have access to credit to support business initiatives that will improve their life circumstances.
