October is International Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We are all being asked to support in any way we can to increase the awareness of the disease, provide greater access to screening services and increase the importance of early detection, together with raising funds for research into its cause, prevention and cure.
So how can we help? There is a plethora of “pink” product available to purchase and show your support for this cause. David Jones department stores are donating all profits made on Thursday 8th October. Many businesses are holding breakfasts and some are having lunches, dinners and other corporate fund raising events. All will have a pink theme and all looking to have the same outcome – to raise awareness and funds for research into stamping out this disease.
Without taking away any of the seriousness of this horrid disease, we felt you might like to see a lighter side to breast cancer awareness with the “Save the Boobs” campaign, starring Canadian MTV host Aliya-Jasmine Sovani.
