On Saturday 27 March 2010, millions of people around the world will turn their lights out at 8.30pm for an hour, for the growing phenomenon of Earth Hour. The United States Department of State has announced that Philidelphia-based KieranTimberlake has won the design competition for the New American Embassy in London. The design was felt the one that best met the briefing criteria, being modern, welcoming, timeless, safe and an energy efficient embassy for the 21st century.
