Eco-minded bathroom fixtures are becoming increasingly available, but they still tend to focus more on function than on form. One notable exception is W+W, a combined toilet and sink from Spanish brand Roca that combines compact style with green-minded thinking.
The United States Department of State has announced that Philidelphia-based KieranTimberlake has won the design competition for the New American Embassy in London. The design was felt the one that best met the briefing criteria, being modern, welcoming, timeless, safe and an energy efficient embassy for the 21st century. The new building will be on the south bank of the Thames, sitting between Battersea Power Station and the MI6 building.
