Faraway Bay, the location used in Baz Luhrmann‘s movie “Australia”, is up for sale.
The award-winning movie, renowned for it’s spectacular backdrop, featured the dramatic twin waterfalls on the King George River.
Faraway Bay is nestled on a rocky hilltop overlooking the Timor Sea, 280km north-west of Kununurra in Western Australia.
Bruce and Robyn Ellison, the current owners, are retiring at the ages of 70 and believe it is time for a younger generation to take the reins. An asking price for the property has not yet been established.
For those who wish to visit Faraway Bay, a six-day package, including an ensuite cabin, guided activities, boat charter, meals and drinks costs $6580 AUD per person.
