Architecture: Carbon Neutral Living at Co-Op Canyon

Co-Op Canyon, a conceptual design created by Standard Architects, is inspired by the cliff dwellings of the Anasazi Indians.

Designed as a sustainable, carbon neutral environment for 1000 habitants, the terraced dwellings overlook an urban canyon.

A community farm is the focal point of the southern end of the canyon, and the produce from the community farm is either eaten in the community kitchen or sold in the Co-Ops market spaces.

The canyon walls are relatively thin which allows ample natural light and air circulation within the dwellings.
