Whether we call it rumors, anticipation, or perception, we often claim that good or bad things can be “felt” and are on their way.

Regardless of where you are in the world, the global economic downturn will have reached you, albeit at different levels and stages, and the media will have been anticipating the misery.

The Spanish artist, Luzinterruptus, has taken such “foresight” and turned the ensuing credit crunch into art.

Comments from the artist: “”Crisis wasn’t a crisis until people who know about it admitted it was. While it was a simple rumour among people who were suffering obvious symptoms. But until the Stock Exchange showed the figures and the mass media echoed the news, the government had to admit the terrifying word. In this manner the crisis began suddenly, like an uncontrolled virus that had been transported by air without warning.”

I like this very much – art can tell the story so well – better than words!
