Nice to see some new aesthetically pleasing tiles are finally coming out. Although this is a bit too “villa style” for us. Here in the UK there is virtually nothing to choose from style wise on the solar tile front.
Not even a basic “slate” style solar tile is available, only the huge wide ones that look like mini solar panels. Perfect situation for innovation in an open market – come on guys lets see worldwide suppliers and some alternative designs too.

Solar roof tiles are becoming more and more important to the green energy movement. They are easier to install and utilize, and look a hell of a lot better.
This is important because as of now the want of installing a solar power system is definitely in the minds of most Americans. However the price and the effort of setting up a system is a little daunting to some. As the price tag lowers and the rate of efficiency improves dramatically solar energy is looking much more alluring for the average house owner.
Are these the same one's that cost about $50/sq.ft??

Hey Julia. We think they’re pretty cool too, although there’s a bit of controversy on the web as to whether they actually exist at all. Regardless, it would be good to see them go to the market (maybe there’s an opportunity!)
